The CHALLENGE

Longwood Gardens is a historic public garden facility originally developed by the duPont family. It sprawls over 1,100 acres of land in the Brandywine region in Kennett Square, Pennsylvania. It encompasses woodlands, curated exterior gardens, enclosed botanical conservatories, reception areas, restaurants, retail and office facilities, green houses, fountains, and critical water features and infrastructure.

The SOLUTION

The Laurenco Waterproofing products were used in its recent expansion. Laurenco was installed during the construction of the new West Conservatory, the expansion of the outdoor seating plaza atop the newly constructed Lower Reception Hall addition, and the new Administration Wing. Our RMA and PMMA products were used extensively in everything from the structural foundation walls to the structural slabs of the critical water infrastructure features and fountains of the new conservatory, to the green roof plaza of the new lower reception area.
